RAW MATERIALS

MISOUI products are sewn from the highest quality natural leathers. Our greatest partner is a family-run Italian tannery with traditions dating back to 1920, which supplies us with vegetable‑tanned leathers. A sustainable approach to production is a fundamental part of our philosophy, and we seek the same from our suppliers. That is why the tannery we work with has implemented a range of initiatives aimed at resource optimization and production process control. Key measures include careful monitoring of chemical usage in leather production, using water in a closed‑loop process, and harnessing renewable energy through photovoltaic installations. Together, we believe that the production of beautiful handbags can be sustainable.

VEGETABLE‑TANNED LEATHER

The leathers used to make MISOUI handbags are tanned without the use of chromium, and the vast majority are tanned with vegetable tannins. As a result, they acquire a pleasant, natural scent and are characterized by high durability and uniqueness due to the aging process. The significant amount of patina on vegetable‑tanned leather causes MISOUI handbags to become increasingly pliable over time, softening and providing ever‑greater pleasure in use.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

We design and sew our handbags in Poland, drawing on the expertise of the best craftsmen from a family‑run company near Warsaw with a long tradition. Additionally, our smallest accessories and keychains are handcrafted by an artisan leatherworker, making each product unique and one‑of‑a‑kind. This human touch means that MISOUI products are, for us, little works of functional art.
